When I heard this name several years back I though it's a group of Pirates who wear a Black Eye mask and go Peeing everywhere, little did I knew that I'll be swooped along with thousands of other hip-hop fans on the foot tapping numbers of BEP. The show started an hour late but the crowd was energetic and wanted to see there favorite stars and mistaking technicians as band members wasting there energy screaming at them. The show started with Fergie doing her Shakira dance mooooves making all male of the species drooling on Will-i-am's Hey Mama song, they played all there chart toppers Like My Humps, Don't Funk with my heart, Lets get the party started, Don't Lie and solo songs from Will-I-am's album Songs about Girls and Fergie' s "The Dutchess". Will-I-Am was funny in his narration and was really creative when he got all the lights switched off and told everyone to put up there mobile and sway, the view was breath-taking as thousands of mobiles were swaying on his music. Yes Fergie was as delicious as expected(she is the reason I like BEP so much in the first place) and whoever heard the shout "Fergie you are on my menu tonight" it was me and yes I got those cheapster stares from ladies around me as well, though talking about the ladies at the show seems like all the good girls had a resolve to look better then Fergie....a good friend of mine claims to have missed Fergie's performance due to distractions in the immediate surroundings. As for me my eyes were all for Fergie, a lady asked me what was the name of the third guy in the band besides Will and Apl and I was like.....girl what are you doing in a temple when you don't even know your god (cheeky me couldn't recall Taboo's name...c'mon you can't blame me...Fergie was there) Won't be able to forget this show for a long time to come....and yeah Fergilicious .....so delicious.....Love you BEP.....
PS: Don't forget to watch these videos I recorded on phone so the quality ain't that good so not uploading them all....

Your past life diagnosis: I don't know how you feel about it, but you were male in your last earthly incarnation. You were born somewhere in the territory of modern South India around the year 1375. Your profession was that of a trainer or holder of fine animals, such as birds.. Your brief psychological profile in your past life: Person with huge energy, good in planning and supervising. If you were just garbage-man, you were chief garbage-man. The lesson that your last past life brought to your present incarnation: You are bound to learn to understand other people and to meet all difficulties of life with a joyful heart. You should help others by bringing them a spirit of joy. Do you remember now?

Gifted -- By Nikita Lalwani
This name struck to me after this book made an appearance in Bookers Long List. This books talk about how far a father can go in Pushing his child to achieve his dreams. Rumi is a maths prodigy who is forced in following a strict discipline by her father on her quest to become a child prodigy, she is forced to follow Army bootcamp kind of rules like staying hungry to be able to concentrate more.
This book is heavily inspired from Sufiah Yusof's story who as a child prodigy ran away from Oxford and blamed her parents for putting too much pressure on her.
All in all this book was a nice read, I liked the way Rumi was able to enjoy her maths and even created lullaby's of numbers and her cummin seeds fetish beats any fetish I had as a kid.
Wish I was so good @ maths.....

Singapore Trip -- Part 3
Next day started with a lazy morning, woke up late and enjoyed the cozy comforts of the hotel. We left around 11:30 am for the amazing Sentosa Island, once you reach the gates you have to make a 10 minutes journey on a cable car combined with amazing sight seeing on the way to the island.
Once we landed we went on another amazing Sky high journey on Carlsberg Skytower which gives you a panoramic view of the Singapore City some 131 meters above sea level. Next visit was Images of Singapore, it's a journey to the very soul of Singapore – a place where cultural diversity, unity of values, adventure, perseverance and honor converge like nowhere else in the world. A must-visit for every visitor!
Then we went and watched a 4D movie called Pirates @ 4D Magix theater, now I have seen Chota Chetan but that was 3D and it didn't have your seats moving and water being sprinkled on your face...so we had a gaala time with all the screaming and shouting and spiders, snakes, arrows and cannon balls trying to scratch your head.
So now it was time for an adventurous walk in the rain on the Dragon Trail through the lush green rain forest, best part was when I found a snake who luckily was non-poisonous(I am guessing this part) but somehow I couldn't click the picture ;-) I knew you guys won't believe me..here's the proof...
We took a bus ride towards the Underwater World afterwards and well this is exactly what it was...a different world under the sea. I missed the diving with Sharks experience as it requires advance booking but I'll advice it to people who can do the dare. Nevertheless quite an experience!!!!
And here's the performer of the day.....
Time for sun and sand....there is a beautiful Siloso Beach just 5 mins walk from the underwater world......a serene walk!!! Try to go there in evenings as there is live Jazz there...missed this one :-(
So our next attraction was Dolphin Lagoon, now this was something I always wanted to see since I was a kid and these beautiful and intelligent animals are definitely a treat to watch....awesome show...
And here's a small video of the show...
We moved along to the Merlion walk as we still had time before the last show of the day...
Boarded the bus again to reach the last show of the day..Songs of the Sea, a nightly extravaganza set in the sea. Songs of the Sea brings you a mesmerizing show with a live cast and dramatic effects pyrotechnics, water jets, brilliant lasers, special computer imaging, bursts of fire, captivating music and stunning flame bursts. But go there with an umbrella otherwise you'll get drenched like me due to all the water sprinklers...a must watch to study the marvels of human innovation!!!!
Do note that both shows on weekends and public holidays are especially crowded and are always sold out. Please come early on the day of show to purchase your tickets to avoid disappointment. Now here's a video to follow up :-)
We were as fresh as new after spending the entire day @ Sentosa as I guess you can never get tired when you are having fun, so we went for dinner at little India and completed our shopping @ the all night Mustafa...atleast my bags were full while coming back ;-)

Trip to Singapore -- Part 2
So the second day started with a heavy Buffet breakfast at the hotel(we thoroughly enjoyed this part of the day till the end of our stay there). We got picked up for the city tour of the cleanest city on the planet (this clean word will be used a lot so I care a damn if you get irritated) we cruised through clean roads, clean pathways, clean gardens, clean river, clean boat, clean shops, clean restaurants, clean high rise buildings and clean restrooms(this was part of the detour ;-))
Well river cruise was exciting and the famous statue of Merlion and kids jumping was some sight, you can also spot lot of sky high buildings near the River. Well after the cruise we went shopping and bought some Davidoff's, Bvlgari's, Aqua Di Gio, Armani, Eternity etc etc (haven't bought so many perfumes in my life) and then took a detour to the Gem Factory...Amazing sceneries on Display but too costly for a meager soul like me.....but I took lot of pictures...
We went back to the hotel for an hours nap before being picked up for the Night Safari...now this was an experience to remember specially the "Creatures of the Night Show" ..it's star cast is Puma, Barn Owls, Python, Raccoons and more. The show demonstrates the behaviour and incredible abilities of animals, from predatory to survival skills.
There are other exciting stuff like Tram journey through the forest, the show of tribals playing with fire and there are lots of hiking trails where you can find lots of wild animals doing what they do at night...a thrilling experience.
Again back to the hotel Jack Daniels and good night.....Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Trip to Singapore --- Part 1
At last after a long time I went on a vacation with my family, I flew from Bangalore whereas they were flying from Delhi, landed around 8 in the morning high on Scotch on an amazingly huge, neat and clean Airport and entered the neatest and cleanest city of Singapore. I thought of giving a skip to normal Taxi to the hotel and instead took a sky train to MRT bought a $15 ezLink card and boarded the train (now this is the best way to feel you've reached a foreign land when you travel with locals but there were lots of Indians on that train, Tamils have lived there for 4 generations), anyways a big mistake cause after getting down from the train I had to walk a lot and because of my amazing sense of direction (that too without a map) I had to board a taxi to reach my hotel (expensive but a nice one Copthorn Orchid) somehow, didn't check in as I was early and went off to explore the city....oops a clean and expensive city (Arre I earn in Rupees yaar).
Anyways my agenda till evening was to hang around at Orchard Road till my family arrived, so I grabbed a bite at McDonald's (good delicious breakfast) and went on foot exploring the expensive Gucci, Armani, Versace, D&G etc etc showroom....selling stuff that costs my whole months salary (bola na I earn in Rupees) at last got tired went to a roadside Pub chatted a while with few tourists...got some tips to roam around...went back to the hotel....took a warm hot tub bath and went off to sleep...woke up only when the phone rang to announce my family's arrival.
I was meeting my family after 5 months so there was a lot of excitement.....we hugged each other....had a Jack Daniels with my dad and went off to little India for dinner and to peek at Mustafa Shopping Mall famous as the most reasonable shopping heaven in Singapore (personally i didn't find a huge price difference), the food at one of the Muslim restaurants was passe not worth mentioning (I guess we should have gone for a Dosa @ Sagar Ratna instead). Anyways Mustafa is huge and we got really tired and tried finding a taxi to no avail, a recommendation for anyone traveling to Singapore...It is really tough to find a taxi late night so invest in a local number as you can't call a cab without a phone number. Anyways after two hours of hunting for the cab I had to buy a local SIM card(had to convince the shop owner to let me have it without passport....I could've been a terrorist...i sure do look like one)....called the cab went to the hotel had another drink and Slept....what a tiring day....
